Accompanied by the faithful Bunny Ears, Alice has left Wonderland and crossed the old border into the wasteland that was once Pakistan, searching for a new purpose and mission. She rescues a young boy from bandits and in trying to get him to safety, finds that even in the middle of this desolation, hope and life have survived. But so has a danger unlike any she has faced, a danger that lurks under the water, a danger known as the Crocodile.

With the US Homeland thrown into sudden turmoil, Wonderland under threat of imminent destruction and Alice herself a prisoner, Alice must fight not just for her own survival, but that of the whole world.

The Crocodile Jaws An Alice in Deadland Adventure Alice No7 eBook Mainak Dhar

Ok let me start by saying I absolutely love this series and have coveted each and every new book chronicling Alice's adventures in the Deadland, but I have to say that the last two stories, Phantoms of the North and Crocodile, left something to be desired. Unlike the books preceding them, this story lacked the exciting action, and twisting plot line I've come to enjoy. In fact both stories were almost identical in their set up. The beginning slow and introspective, the plot rushed, and just as the action started getting interesting, it is all abruptly wrapped up in a neat little box with a bow. I'm not sure if it was simply the length that prevented either of these stories from being fully realized, or if the author, like Alice, is at a loss for what comes next. I did give the book three stars with respect to the series as a whole, and can only hope that any future books will draw inspiration from its original predecessors. All in all it was a quick read and enjoyable if you're a fan of the series.

The Crocodile Jaws An Alice in Deadland Adventure Alice No7 eBook Mainak Dhar Reviews

Mainak Dhar is my new favorite writer! Seven books now in the Alice in Deadland set and still going strong. Dhar's imagination is astounding. I now own all of his fiction stories. I will continue to purchase his books blindly as I know they will not disappoint.
I love zombies, and Alice in Wonderland, so the Alice in Deadland series is one that seemed right up my alley and I have to say that I am I am a huge fan. This was a very interesting tale that brought in a new bad-guy and interesting tale. It wasn't my favorite in the series, but definitely worth reading.
This is the 7th book in the Alice in Deadland series, and it doesn't disappoint. If you're worried author Mainak Dhar would be running out of ideas for Alice's adventures, don't. This book brings in a lot of new characters and lessons for Alice as she and Bunny Ears find themselves taking on a new kind of evil.
Seriously..did anyone think that they would get hooked on an "Alice in Wonderland" inspired Zombie series of books!?!? I bought the first one, with a great deal of skepticism. By the time "Crocodile Jaws" came out, I was impatiently awaiting its arrival. I think Mainak Dhar has become such an exceptional writer and given life to a story and characters who make for a fascinating series. Each book has progressed and becomes more and more enjoyable. A great read, a lot of fun and probably my second, ok, third, favorite in the series!
I enjoy this series of zombie books about a teenage queen of the zombies who works to help people. As usual the author weaves a tale of good versus evil where the zombies come through to save the day. I especially like that Bunny Ears has his true name back and I hope that tid bit makes you want to read the book to find out what I am talking about.
Alice and Bunny Ears go on an adventure. Alice decides that she needs to see more of the world and Wonderland is finally safe enough. She knows that there is more danger out there that she does not understand. She and Bunny Ears journey into Pakistan and they find a threat that can destroy everything. Alice also makes some new friends. This was a great addition to the Deadland Adventures.
A new adventure for Alice as she leaves the comfort of Wonderland to explore further into Pakistan because she needs a battle; she needs a reason to continue. She finds thugs with green scales - apparently this is a result of an injection drug (krocodil) addiction but no more is said about this. She also finds Russians, captive slaves of locals, a submarine carrying nuclear missiles, new friends, new enemies, she figures out what her new role in life is, and Bunny Ears remembers his name.
